# All Gothic Remake Legendary Weapons and Armor Locations

Gothic Remake brings the classic RPG into the modern age with stunning visuals and revamped gameplay, and among its many treasures, the legendary weapons and armor stand out as the most coveted pieces of equipment. These rare items not only offer superior stats but also unique abilities and visual flair that set your character apart. Whether you're a seasoned veteran returning to the mining colony or a newcomer to the harsh world of Myrtana, this guide will walk you through every location, how to obtain each piece, and what makes them so powerful. By the end, you'll be fully geared to face even the toughest foes.

Understanding Legendary Gear

In Gothic Remake, legendary gear is distinguished by a gold border in your inventory and often has names that echo the game’s lore. Unlike common equipment, each legendary weapon and armor piece has a fixed location, often tied to a dangerous dungeon, a formidable boss, or a complex puzzle. Some require specific faction allegiance or a set of rare keys to access. Once you claim them, they're yours permanently—they never degrade or break, making them worthwhile investments for the entire playthrough.

Collecting all legendary gear is not just a status symbol; it can unlock achievements and change how NPCs react to you. Additionally, wearing a full set of legendary armor belonging to a particular faction may grant hidden dialogue options and even alternate endings. So let’s dive into the locations, starting with weapons.

Legendary Weapons

Here are all the legendary weapons in Gothic Remake, broken down by type and location.

1. Uriziel – The Runed Blade

**Location:** Sunken Temple, beneath the Orc Cemetery **How to Obtain:** Uriziel is the most iconic rune blade in the series, now fully realized with dual elemental damage. To acquire it, you must first complete the "Ancient Powers" quest from Xardas, which sends you to collect three rune stones scattered across the colony. Once you have them, head to the Orc Cemetery east of the Old Camp. Fight through the undead orcs guarding the entrance crypt. Inside, you'll find a sealed door that requires the rune stones to open. After placing them in the altar, Uriziel will appear on a pedestal. Be warned: a powerful lich will spawn and attack, so be prepared. Defeat the lich, and the blade is yours.

**Stats:**

  • Damage: 120 (split 60 physical / 60 fire)
  • Special: 30% chance to ignite enemies, +10% critical chance
  • Requirement: 80 Strength

2. Claw of Beliar

**Location:** The Lair of the Sleeper, deep in the Swamp **How to Obtain:** The Claw of Beliar is a legendary one-handed weapon that grows in power as you invest in the Dark Magic skill. To get it, you must side with the Brotherhood of the Sleeper and reach the rank of Novice. During the quest "The Sleeper's Will," you’ll be sent into the underground lair to retrieve the claw from the altar of Beliar. The path is filled with minecrawlers and shadowbeasts. At the altar, a ritual must be performed using three swampweed and a heart of a stone golem. Once the ritual is complete, the claw will manifest. It starts weak but evolves with each dark offering you make later.

**Stats (base):**

  • Damage: 50
  • Special: Scales with Dark Magic skill; after 5 offerings, damage increases to 100 and adds life leech.

3. Innos’ Wrath

**Location:** Monastery of Innos, High Altar **How to Obtain:** This massive two-handed sword is the pinnacle of holy weaponry. You must be a member of the Circle of Fire and complete their questline up to "The Test of Faith." After purifying the corrupted shrines across the land, return to High Inquisitor Pedro. He will grant you access to the High Altar, where you must pray for three days (skip time by resting at the monastery bed). On the third day, the sword will descend in a beam of light. If you have less than 90% karma (measured by good deeds), it will reject you, so maintain a clean record.

**Stats:**

  • Damage: 140 pure magic damage
  • Special: Heals you for 5% of damage dealt, +15% against undead and demons

4. The Splitter

**Location:** Abandoned Mine, under the lava flow in the New Camp territory **How to Obtain:** This dual-wield axe set is for dexterity-based characters. In the Abandoned Mine, you’ll find a group of rogue miners blocking the path to the lower magma chambers. Deal with them, then use a fire protection potion to navigate the lava river. At the end, you’ll find a forlorn smithy with the Splitter embedded in an anvil. A note nearby hints that you need to cool the axe with ice magic or an ice arrow to safely extract it. Once cooled, you can pick it up. The set includes two axes that can be dual-wielded for fast combo attacks.

**Stats (per axe):**

  • Damage: 65
  • Special: Each hit increases attack speed by 2% for 5 seconds, stacks 10 times.

5. The Bonebreaker

**Location:** Old Mine, bottom of the flooded shaft **How to Obtain:** A legendary mace that deals immense blunt damage. The Old Mine, now overrun with shadowbeasts and goblins, has a deep shaft filled with water. You’ll need a diving potion or water breathing enchantment to descend. At the bottom, you’ll find a skeleton of a former guard captain clutching the mace. A short puzzle involves aligning three pressure plates in the adjacent room to drain the water, but you can also just swim down with proper preparation. The mace is heavy and requires high strength but can stagger even the largest opponents.

**Stats:**

  • Damage: 150 blunt
  • Special: 20% chance to knock down enemies on hit, +30% damage to golems

6. Whisper of the Forest

**Location:** Heart of the Enchanted Grove, Swamp region **How to Obtain:** A legendary bow favored by rangers. In the Enchanted Grove, guarded by treants and spriggans, you’ll need to speak with the forest spirit Elara. She will task you with purifying three corrupted trees using special salves crafted from rare herbs. Once you complete the task, she will open the inner grove where the bow hangs from the largest tree. You must shoot down the bow using another bow (any bow will do, but aim carefully). It's a test of marksmanship; if you miss, you may anger the spirit. The bow itself is light and has infinite arrows.

**Stats:**

  • Damage: 80 (arrow damage scales with Dexterity)
  • Special: Arrows have homing capabilities on targets within 30 meters, +10% critical hit chance.

7. Fang of the Shadowbeast

**Location:** Deepwood Caverns, behind a waterfall near the Old Camp **How to Obtain:** This legendary dagger is perfect for stealth builds. The caverns are infested with giant spiders and shadowbeasts. To reach the hidden chamber, you must find a secret lever behind the waterfall. Inside, you’ll face the Alpha Shadowbeast, a unique boss with two phases. Defeat it, and the dagger drops. The Fang poisons on hit and grants increased movement speed while stealthed.

**Stats:**

  • Damage: 45
  • Special: Applies a deadly poison (8 damage/sec for 10 seconds), +20% movement speed while sneaking or invisible.

8. The Iron Sentinel (Crossbow)

**Location:** Watchtower of the Old Camp, armory hidden compartment **How to Obtain:** A heavy crossbow for those who prefer ranged combat from a distance. In the Old Camp, explore the watchtower and find a locked armory. The key is held by the camp quartermaster, but you must earn her trust or pickpocket it. Inside, a hidden wall panel reveals the crossbow. It fires bolts with tremendous force, capable of piercing multiple enemies.

**Stats:**

  • Damage: 110 per bolt
  • Special: Bolts pass through up to 3 enemies, +15% damage against armored targets.

Navigate the tomb’s traps and defeat the ancient guardian, a massive stone golem infused with dark magic. Once defeated, loot the sarcophagus for the chest piece, and the side chambers for the helm, gauntlets, and greaves. Defeat him, and you can loot the armor from a chest. The set offers high dexterity bonuses and increases sneak damage.

In the Monastery of Innos, during the quest "Forbidden Knowledge," you’ll gain access to the restricted section of the library. You must collect three forbidden tomes and place them on the respective pedestals to dispel the barrier. Behind it, the robes are displayed on a mannequin. However, taking them will summon a golem librarian that you must defeat or outwit (using a book to distract it). Once obtained, the robes provide the best mana regeneration in the game.

To get it, you must prove yourself to the Wolf Clan by winning a series of arena fights. The final challenger is the chief himself. The set boosts attack damage as your health decreases.

**Stats (full set):**

Tips for Collecting All Legendary Gear

  • **Explore thoroughly:** Many legendary items are hidden off the beaten path, so don’t rush through the main story. Use the [interactive map](/guides/interactive-map/) to mark locations you’ve visited.
  • **Manage your faction choices:** Some gear is faction-locked. It’s advisable to play through the game multiple times or save before critical decisions to experience all content. Our [Factions Guide](/guides/factions-guide/) can help you understand the consequences.
  • **Prepare for tough fights:** Many bosses guarding legendary items are among the hardest in the game. Level up, stock potions, and maybe check our [Boss Guide](/guides/boss-guide/) for strategies.
  • **Keep an eye out for keys and quest items:** Some gear requires specific keys or items that are easy to miss. Always search every corpse and container, and talk to all NPCs.
  • **Use the day/night cycle to your advantage:** Certain events or NPC appearances are time-dependent. Consult our [Day & Night Cycle guide](/guides/day-night-cycle/) for more details.
  • **Crafting can complement your gear:** While legendary items are fixed, you can enhance their properties with crafting. Our [Alchemy & Crafting Recipes guide](/guides/alchemy-crafting-recipes/) can show you how to create powerful oils and sharpening stones.

Remember, acquiring all legendary gear is a challenging but rewarding endeavor that will make you a true champion of the colony. Good luck, and may Innos guide your sword!
